Fort Lauderdale, FL (March 24, 2008) Florida Supercon (FSC) conjures up an impressive line-up of stars for the 2008 show including celebrities from Harry Potter, Avatar, Thundercats, Jem, Adult Swim, Marvel, DC & more! Florida Supercon is taking over the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure Resort, a location three times larger than last years and will fill every square foot with SuperCon fun May 23-25, 2008! The show launches with the opening ceremonies Friday evening May 23 at 5:00pm and continues almost around the clock through Sunday, May 25 at 6:00pm .


Florida Supercon is thrilled to announce the latest guests to be added to the event, including a 4th Harry Potter superstar.

• DEVON MURRAY: Devon Murray is the promising young Irish actor best known for his roles as Seamus Finnegan in the Harry Potter films. His acting career began in the film “This is my Father“which opened the door to an abundance of opportunities on the big screen. “Angela’s Ashes“ closely followed by “Yesterday’s Children” increased Devon’s worldwide recognition, paving the way to his role of Seamus Finnegan in the “Harry Potter” series, which has taken the world by storm.
• WITHERWINGS: The Wizard Rock movement is invading FSC and Witherwings is helping to lead the charge. Witherwings will be one of the headlining bands for Friday night’s Wizard Rock Ball. More info and select songs can be found at www.myspace.com/witherwingswrock
• RALPH CABRERA: An accomplished comic book artist, Ralph’s credits include Adventures of the X-Men, Alpha Flight, Amazing Spider-Man, Conan, Quasar, Silver Surfer, Venom and more! Ralph can be found on the internet at www.ralphcabrera.com

Florida Supercon is a convention for comic book, anime, animation, sci-fi, fantasy and manga fans taking place May 23 - 25, 2008 at The Hyatt Regency Bonaventure Resort in Weston, FL. (Just outside of Fort Lauderdale). The show will include celebrity guests, artists, writers, vendors, industry guests, Q&A's, parties, costume contests, anime programming, manga, cosplay, workshops, panels, cosplay photo shoots and more! • James and Oliver Phelps: Harry Potter superstars! James and Oliver are best known for their roles as Fred and George Weasly.
• Stanislav Ianevski: Harry Potter superstar! Stanislav is best known for his role as Viktor Krum, as well as starring in Hostel 2.
• Carmine Infantino: Comic Book Legend. Former President and Publisher of DC Comics. Creator of the silver age Flash. Legendary artist of Batman, The Flash, Superman, Star Wars and more!

General Admission at the door is $20 for a one day pass or $30 for the (3) day weekend.
