Welcome Then... Nothing much to say on my part. Just that every photo ever placed in here will probably be quite large, and thus a slow down load. I am a lover of details and the beauty of nature, so that's what you'll see here. Small things. Some things not so extravagent and original or beautiful. I take photos of things that capture my eyes, even though they're just... uninteresting at times. As for the camera type I use, because dtownley1 had asked what it was once, I looked all over my camera and I'll tell you what all the little words say, since I don't know what people will be asking for! *Laughs* It's a Nikon Coolpix E5600. 5.1 Effective Megapixels, 3x zoom (35-105mm) Optical, with an in-camera red-eye fix. And the only other little writings I found are Zoom Nikkor, 5.7 - 17.1mm 1:2.9-4.9. Yay for random wordings that Itu does not understand! And that's all I can really say. Enjoy. -------------------

I'll just start with a few more recent ones. Because once more I'll be walking to school tomorrow, I figured it might be nice to show you at least a little bit of what I encounter on the streets of Hoboken as I go across town to reach my high school. Yes I know that there are no spoiler tags. It's because I know that when these are opened, they'll kill the page. So instead, I provide you with links. And well, this is what I walk by, just before reaching third street. The couple always water their flowers and they bloom beautifully, regardless the weather. And because I walk by them to and from school, I always have something beautiful to lighten my day and my mood. These pictures I took on my way home one day. A rainy day, in truth. Thus some of the leaves have those water droplets. And the next three photos I'll show you are taken from my English Literature classroom, third floor of my highschool, about three days later. -Smiles- It was such a beautiful day, and I was drawn to the window without knowing why. And after looking outside I sort of raced around back to my desk and grabbed my camera, took several shots, and these are the ones I kept. -------------------

I like these a lot. The first one is a little blurry... but it only adds to what the artist thinks. =o I love the building pictures. It exposes (photography pun, haha) the reality of things and shows the sort of "Aged" look of the buildings. The one with the American flag is my favorite. I kind of see it as... patriotic.. slightly off. The way the flag is more to the side indicates it could be pushed to the side of your mind as you focus on other things. >> Yeah.. I overanalyzed again. Anyway, nice pics. =o I want to see more later. |

I agree. It's why I think I take the time to actually capture nature whenever I can. Living in the city makes me always feel so strained and whatnot. So I take them, and perhaps I can capture the beauty and emotion of calm and serenity that they give me. Yes... the blur is because at first I was not focused, could not touch that serene presense that the flowers offered. The pictures after and before it I deleted, because they too were blurred. And slowly they got clearer, and more understanding. My feelings changed, shifted softly until at last I was... gentle and at peace. Yes... Hoboken is an old, old town. -Smiles- Lots of history, lots of stages, lots of change, and all in all complex, intricate. It has ways you can't understand even if you lived there for a couple of years. It's something you have to grow up with in order to understand. Yes, at times it is. But the point is that... there's something else to it. The photo is that of a marriage, you know. You just have to pinpoint to whom it is being wed. Even though, this has been given away, I'm sure. -Smiles- My dear Kanon! Overanalyzing? In my journal? -Laughs- Come on, you should know that there's more to Itu than just the bounciness. -Smiles- You'll soon learn, if not. -Nods lightly and grins.- Alright. I'll see if I'll put up some more tomorrow. -------------------

some nice shots there. I liked the 2nd batch - some nice compositions in there. I have to disagree with Kanon on the flag. It's a very balanced shot. The spaces between the two buildings at the edges of the frame are almost even, so you have 4 strong vertical lines dividing up the whole composition - so it's a very ordered shot, which ties in well with the patriotic theme. What kind of camera are you using? |

Nice first batch. They all look good but I prefer the shots from out side your window. It's not frequent you get too see shots of the general scenery out side a window. I take it you live in a condo up several floors?. As the main theme of the very last picture is the flag, it is a shame that the flag isn’t in its full glory, but it is still a good picture. -------------------

What kind of camera are you using? Glad you think so, and that you like them. Yes, I would say that it was more of a balanced shot in my eyes as well. You have basically summed it up wonderfully for me. -Laughs- I am not exactly sure what the camera is, because my camera has suddenly disappeared on me. But it is a digital camera of some sort. Once I find out, I will let you know the type, alright? QUOTE (randee @ Oct 2 2006, 08:08 AM) Nice first batch. They all look good but I prefer the shots from out side your window. Uhmm, actually, if you read what I wrote, you would know that those last three were taken from outside my English literature classroom in school, not from outside my home\'s window. And I live in a three story house that we own. We rent out the third floor to a tenant, and we live in the bottom two floors, although most of the living areas are upstairs. And well... the flag can be caught in its own glory. It depends on the shot, and I was rushing really. My teacher wanted me back in my seat. -------------------

I thought it would be nice to place up a couple of photos from last year, seeing as soon another year will have passed and I've still not shown these. They are pictures I took while on my businesses annual Family Reunion week-long trip. And this was in 2005, during the summer, around the beginning of July. We were up at Niagara Falls and it was beautiful there. I took about twelve shots while at the Falls and they're all quite scenic, which is what I'm drawn to. So... here are the first few. They're all directly associated with the walkway that we went on, walking right under the Falls. Oh, and those plastic ponchos they give you? Yeah they don't help a bit. We were soaked through for a good hour or so after that. -Laughs- Alright, these next two are some other, more distant shots of the Falls. One is the actual falls, and the second is more or less a shot of the city and the mist coming up from the falls. They were spontaneously shot, as most of my inspirations come like that. But I really like them, even if they don't show much. These next three you can't tell are from even around the area. But they're shots of little streams that I really wanted to take. It shows just how pretty it is along the river before it actually becomes the falls later on down. And my last three are all special in their own ways. The first is a shot I took of this gathering of buildings that I thought was just... way too odd and random for me not to take a picture of. And to this day I absolutely love this shot. The second picture is one I took when I was more tired on a trip. It was taken of the bridge connecting Canada and the U.S., and I was on the Canadian side at the time. We were coming back from a good few hours in there and I was really quite sleepy. It's like New York City there, I swear it! It's a bit blurry, but still quite nice. Enjoy! -------------------

I'll probably upload a lot more after the coming week. I'll be in PA that whole week really, so that means a lot of nature shots. xD Yes, and now you got another smile out of me. *Laughs* -------------------

Well, my "week after the coming week" never happened because I had left the camera at home. However! I did take a great many photos of other things. Most right during this month of November. I'm updating this thread, because by the time I come back to KAF, after Christmas season and New Years, I'll be brimming with new photos for sure. Now, I have three things to place here, so they'll be a touch more organized this time. These first ones are just two pictures I took, both are generally the same, only one is a little bit more to the right of the other picture. It's a general shot of a building and the moon that I took while walking home one day. I always loved that building. Covers in crawlers and with the trees rising up and resembling the umbrella thorn trees you'll find in the Savannah and other such places. But anyways! *** WARNING! THESE NEXT PHOTOS MAY NOT BE FOR THOSE EASILY DISGUSTED BY BODY PARTS, DISECTION, AND SO ON. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Because yes, I am now going to show you a sampling of what our infamous biology classes are like. These are all photos taken while we were disecting calf hearts. I'll take my time and name everyone so you know who is who. First is a picture of my best friend since third grade, Lyla. The second is a picture of me, all the way on the left, then Javier, and then my other best friend Sheryl. The next two are of Alex and Chris both playing around with their hearts. Now, here are the photos of my classmates doing odd things with their hearts. The first is of Paola holding a heart while Chris pretends to stab it. The next is of Chris pretending to LICK his heart. Then we have one of Catherine in the background while her heart is being prodded by Pratik, who you can't see but for his hands. And here's Alex pretending to kiss her heart. And last but not least! Here are the pictures we took of the hearts themselves, or people handling the hearts, but without any faces involved and so on. Well! That's done and over with now! -------------------

Dude, it falls like that. And it's odd like that. And I think I may have a hair fetish which is why I love my hair so much when it goes all crazy. And it explains why I love Jajoo's hair! No wait... I think everyone loves Jajoo's hair... Well, it's just like that cause it's like that. ._. So yeah. I'm not cosplaying, my hair is. >_> -------------------
